It also caught the attention of the most prominent media houses in Africa...Mnet, Style(This day),On-Tv, Silverbird Tv, Gennevieve magazine, Super screen etc. The event was a huge success

Edgy details

Who are your favourite Nigerian Musical Artistes?
M.I, Asha, Bez, Ice prince and Glenn

What advice would you give to our Designers and Artistes?
To get where u want to be, u need to have "absoluteness of purpose”. Refuse to be denied. This event is a platform, prove yourselves, put in your best. The sky is your springboard.

What do you think about UNVEILED as an event?
I respect the motive behind UNVEILED. Believing in upcoming designers and artistes.  Giving them a platform and a voice. Not overlooking the potentials of fresh talents. That’s wassup

As Host for Unveiled, what should those that would be attending the event expect?
They should expect a night of fun, where unadulterated talents would be unleashed/unveiled with heightened professionalism.

2012 SUMMER MUST-HAVES TO ADD TO YOUR SHOPPING LIST

Coloured trousers
Just about every shape and style in pants walked down the runway – from high-waisted, wide leg, tapered and cropped. The running theme for fall 2012 trousers is supersaturated hues in greens, reds, blues and yellows.

The poncho sweater
There's nothing hippie about these poncho-sweater hybrids. The flowing shape is comfy, yet chic enough to wear to the office when paired with a slim, sophisticated black pant.

Comfy flats
Flat shoes are essential during this period as people tend to take longer work and perform more tasks on daily basis. They are comfortable, smart and elegant plus they add a great look to your dressing. Just make sure they are cute *wink*

 Graphic stripes
It seems the fashion world can't get enough of stripes. This season we saw the familiar horizontal patterns as well as bolder, chunkier graphic ones too.

The bandage skirt and dress
These clinging outfits are totally hot, sexy and trendy. They bring out the curves giving you a lovely elegant look and confidence in your own body. The bandage skirt and dress can be worn anywhere as long as the colours and patterns complement the occasion.

Portfolio bags
Say so long to straps: Larger clutches and portfolio bags are the hottest handbags for fall.

 High-heeled loafers
Every girl seems to be finding her stand in sexy, stylish and smart loafered heels . Super-HOT loafers seem to be taking over the shoe vogue with its stylish colours and designs. It’s a girl’s must have this season.

GO POLKA THIS SUMMER

How to wear polka-dot accessories
It's important to make trends your own, so when it comes to wearing polka dots this fall, I suggest starting with items like knickers or a polka-dot silk "boyfriend" blouse to keep the print wearable. Polka-dot knickers are a great way to feel flirty and get in on the trend without wearing them as part of your outfit. Only you know that you're wearing them.

In the same way that animal prints are best kept in small doses, polka dots are a fashion treat that work best as an accessory to your look. Pick one
signature piece and work your look around that.

How to wear polka-dot dresses
Women should wear what empowers them, what feels good and makes their day better. So while a cinched-waist polka dot dress will accentuate an hourglass figure, a slim-fitting tube dress worn with     opaque tights is ideal for a night out.

While polka dots are a traditional print, it's possible to break out of the retro route by embracing metallic or silver mini polka dots on a bright colour base. That way, you can still wear a classic style like an A-line dress or pencil skirt, but maintain playfulness through the use of commanding shades and unconventional fabrics.

How to wear polka-dot tops and blouses
Something to keep in mind with any pattern is that the larger and more bold it is, the less forgiving it is. When you are long and lean, there is more of you to accommodate the pattern (and) the opposite is true for shorter people.

The polka dots should be proportional to your shape, so if you are have a
bigger bust, the print should be slightly larger to balance a bigger chest. Conversely, if you're petite on top, the polka dots should be smaller to keep things proportional.

How to wear polka-dot hair accessories
If you're not comfortable donning head-to-toe polka dots, try accessorizing. Try an accessory such as a polka-dot scarf or headband. They'll add a new dimension to your everyday look. A touch of both polka dots and a bow could be cute. Though, while an oversize bow straddles both the polka dot and retro trends, a printed bow that's too big can come across as “costumey”.

Polka dots are a cheery print that can bring an element of fun to your wardrobe. Just remember to keep things proportional and simple, and to pair polka dots alongside solid, neutral pieces. And don't forget to shop your closet. Chances are you'll find a vintage polka-dot piece that would fit perfectly in your wardrobe this season.
